Built by a transcription company, for transcribers
Quality Braille Transcriptions LLC is a braille transcription company in Atlanta, Georgia. We produce braille books, textbooks, Nemeth math, UEB Math/Science, tactile graphics and large print for schools, districts, publishers and businesses across the country, and we build our own software to do it.
Our story
We are a working transcription company first. The tools we sell are the same tools we run on our own books: Quality Brailler for editing and proofreading formatted braille pages, the Braille Converter for turning a textbook PDF into braille-ready BRF, and the Braille Checker for checking a finished file before it reaches paper.
Credentials
Every braille file is produced by a Library of Congress–certified braille transcriber, with these certifications:
- Literary (Library of Congress)
- Nemeth Code (Library of Congress)
- Textbook Format (National Braille Association)
How we check every project
- BANA-compliant review. No project ships without a second-pass review against BANA formatting standards.
- Always current. We stay up to date and follow the newest standards: the current Rules of Unified English Braille (third edition, 2024), the Nemeth Code 2022, and BANA’s formatting guidelines.
- Tactile-readability checked. Beyond code accuracy, every page is reviewed for tactile clarity: line breaks, indentation, label placement, and the formatting decisions that decide whether a reader can actually use the document.
